Preparing for the Seal of Bi-literacy and Multiliteracy

The following are resources that will help you be ready for the Seal of Bi-literacy. One of the most challenging aspects to qualify for the seal is the English requirement of earning a Proficient or above score on the ELA (English) state test in 11th grade. This exam must be taken very seriously.

Stoles by be ordered from the bookkeeper once you have received the email from the district (late February), stating that you have earned the Seal of BL.

Appeals are due by March 1st, 2016 for consideration to earn the stole and the medallion. Any applications received after the due date may not be considered.

 

Practice for the 2015 Smarter Balance English Exam

 

SAT Subject test information: You must earn a score of 600 or better and present the results to the school registrar.

 

AP World Language Exam Information: You must pass with a 3 or better and present the results to the school registrar.

 


Requirements for the Riverside County Department of Education Seal of Multi-Literacy

 

Due Dates: Important letter from the district and checklist (below the letter).

  • Aug. 17th, 2018 - Intent to apply and additional items as listed.
  • Sept. 7th, 2018 - Autobiography, final draft with note from English teacher.
